The great graphics are marred by clipping issues. I chose save scumming, but it did break immersion somewhat. There was a point in the game where I started falling behind the aliens in terms of advancement, and I either would have had to restart (wasting 20 hours of play time) or save scum. The beginning of the game, with all the DLC included, has an overwhelming amount of stuff going on. Expect to always feel like you're losing the game, but the final victory is very satisfying. It feels satisfying to fight your way out of them successfully. Very challenging game that puts you into difficult positions. I found it really fun to play (when I wasn't feeling frustrated because of the issues mentioned later) The King/Queen monsters were ridiculously tough but a fun challenge to overcome The story missions are well-integrated into the more ordinary missions, creating a very immersive feeling I played with all the DLC except War of the Chosen (see my last comment for why.) The combat mode uses a bird's eye view 3D/isometric hybrid, and is turn-based! XCOM 2 is a strategy game with two distinct modes: a global view where you move around and interact with features, and a combat mode where you battle aliens.
